What is it trying to say?
There is always someone observing us, even if it is only ourselves
Or is there anyone at all?
This work reflects the artist's neurotic relationship with Mother Nature as the observee or the observer, and how we respond to it.
Nature, a common subject of his work, this time representing the feminine; hiding as symbiotic faces form in a blue forest.
How was it made?
Wet cyanotype is a very volatile process, and Marcelo uses negatives and plants to build an image in it. The video shows one of the pieces slowly changing as it dries, bringing to the spectator the end part of this composition.
